Dew of Heaven is the story of one woman’s journey of seeking answers, only to discover she already had what she was looking for. It is a story of a restless soul searching for love, for purpose and for belonging.
From a life of striving and trying to become something to ending up exhausted, anxious and hopeless, the uncovered path led to a land of rest, a wide-open space. Uncovering the impact of our internal reality upon our external world, begins to reveal the poverty of wearing a mask to look good on the outside and impress the world around us. Covering up what is happening deep within tightens the grip of the burdens of fear, guilt, unbelief, comparisons, and insecurities and keep us captive to lies that have taken root and are fed from external resources.
With personal stories and illuminations, these unique experiences within this story are shared with a vulnerable, courageous quest for truth. It weaves through the pages to reveal a gold thread that lead to the ultimate life changing answer. An internal source that promises to uproot those lies and replace them with tender shoots of truth. The path to it was already there, it was uncovered as the lies were exposed.
The truth discovered was life changing and had been sown within the heart many years prior but was being choked out by anxious cares which in turn were creating and harbouring a hard heart. Worry had begun to do it’s darkest work in some of the deepest most intimate places where fear continued to drive and dictate moments and days causing further pain and destruction.
Life it seemed was like a virtual game of survivor as reality continued to be twisted and distorted by life draining effects of anxiety. Eventually the cracks began to show, despite continued attempts at being in control. Spiralling downward the striving increased in a futile attempt to protect self from further pain and suffering.
The mask that had been worn for years lost its shine, the crown was slipping and the true-self being suffocated. Internal chaos reigned as a distorted identity and faulty belief system sabotaged family, friends and daily life. A life of clever striving had finally begun to deplete external resources that had been drawn on for many years, trying to fix, change, improve self, life and others. As these wells ran dry, the well-spring of life was re-discovered in a way that was now beyond a promise or just more information/knowledge and into a deep heartfelt experience.
Meeting pure love in these broken places, began a gentle healing journey brimming with restoration and redemption, filled with hope and overflowing with joy and thanksgiving. Although life continues to present trials and challenges from this now perspective of life and loves comes the vision that leads to abundant life, rather than destroying it.
Dew of Heaven is a story of working and resting, a story of relationships, a story of beautiful broken mess but ultimately it is a story of hope. The hope is that this thread extended would awaken your heart to truth and inspire vision within your story to discover the path that leads to a well-spring of life, springing up and flooding you with joy and thanksgiving.
